Summary –
I know that half of you sexy single ladies are completely fed up with today’s dating scene.
The other half is thinking “is this even dating anymore?”
It’s a different world from what it used to be. Thank you, Tinder. But here, get some insights on current trends that will help you master dating today.
The Non-Date Date: WTF?
You may also know this as “hanging out.”
It usually involves alcohol, flirtation, and maybe even a massive hangover the next day.
Ladies, don’t accept a hangout invite. You deserve at a minimum, a real date. If a guy is not willing to take you out on a date, it’s because he has four other women he could hang out with if you don’t hang out with him.
Benching
This happens when a guy is inconsistent in how he treats you if he’s not sure how he feels about you. Or maybe you’re doing the benching.
Are you going out with two different guys? If you’re not sure who you like more, put them on the bench. See who wants you more.
The Slow Fade
This is where you gradually cut off communication with someone by easing the let-down process over an extended period of time.
I call it death by a thousand cuts, except it’s more like death by ten very, very slow texts.

Let me tell you, ladies, one thing: you are equally guilty of this one.
So here’s my rule.
If you only go out on one date, sure, you can do the slow fade out. It’s only been one date.
But if you go on two dates or more, I want you to end things like a woman; just let the guy know that it’s not going to work out, that you are not interested. This will give you some really good dating karma, trust me.
Draking
I’m sure you can guess which celebrity made this verb famous.
This describes someone who’s behaving very emotionally, irrationally, or completely miserably in a relationship.
Is the guy sending you drunken late night texts, wanting you back?
That dude is Draking.
Jelly
Said by a girlfriend at brunch, jelly has a different meaning.
Otherwise, it means someone is jealous of someone else.
Peacocking
When men try to get your attention by dressing flashily or being flamboyant in their behavior, they’re peacocking. It doesn’t always work.
The Swerve
Swerving is simply avoiding someone who you have absolutely no romantic interest in.
Is there a guy at work who’s always trying to hit on you at the Keurig machine whenever you need a freaking cup of coffee? You swerve him when you go spend $4 at Starbucks to avoid being hit on.
Cuffing Season
Yes, it’s an actual season, between Thanksgiving and spring, when people start dating purely to avoid being lonely during the winter.
But if you don’t want a boyfriend, but still want to be cuddled this winter, there is a solution for you. There is a service that’s like the Uber for cuddling.
There’s a woman, Amaku Ukpong, who gets paid $80 an hour to snuggle with random dudes. I get what you are thinking, and no, there’s nothing sexual about it. I’m pretty sure you can sign up to be a snuggler (what a great job!).
So here’s my advice to you: if you don’t want a boyfriend yet, just cuddle some dudes for $80 an hour. Then you make money without the stress of looking for a boyfriend.
Laughing, Standing Up for Yourself, and Good Dating Karma
So there you have it: modern dating advice, slang, and tips.
If you’ve found 21st-century love and dating as laughable as I do, then it’s time that we learn to laugh at it.
Have fun. Enjoy.
And if a man tries to pull any of this shit I’ve taught you, laugh in his face and move on.
You have standards, mademoiselle. Stand up for them.
If a man doesn’t meet your standards, then he’s fucking gone.
And do unto others. If men are ghosting on you, then you better make sure that you aren’t ghosting on other guys. If you don’t like when people fade out on you, then don’t fade out on other people.
Love is the most beautiful emotion that humans can ever experience. Don’t allow all of this dating drama and distraction to make you jaded. Keep getting out there, keep pushing, have high standards for yourself, and have some fun while you’re meeting new people.

It seems to me that the most important advice is to determine for yourself exactly what you want from this relationship. For example, I am looking for a partner for a serious relationship, I always indicate this in my profiles. That’s why I like platforms like ladadate dating site where you know for sure that the person is also looking for a life partner, not an affair.
Do you have experience using dating sites? Which are the best?
I don’t have much experience in using different dating apps or sites. Just a month ago I started a profile on Slovak wife finder https://okamour.com/ . I have been chatting with girls from Slovakia, and many of them speak fluent English. This was a big plus for me because I don’t know Slovak. In addition, the site allows you to exchange messages in a convenient format, so you can easily get to know each other without hurrying. I really enjoyed the experience.
I don’t think there’s anything laughable about modern dating and relationships. This whole conversation just confirms that finding a decent, sane person who would make a good partner seems almost impossible.
It’s just a joke, dude, relax. I don’t think people should all be divided into these categories. There are tons of great people out there whom you haven’t met yet. And I believe that if you haven’t met “your person” yet, then the time just hasn’t come. Right now, I’m not looking for serious relationships, but I am interested in new experiences. That’s why I prefer dating sites like https://www.getnaughty.com/couple-looking-for-women.html and similar ones. You can meet great people for conversation, but it’s primarily an opportunity to try something new and gain fresh experiences.
